(1) Major diagnostic criteria for EDS arthrochalasis type include:

  • severe generalized joint hypermobility with recurrent subluxations
  • congenital bilateral hip dislocation

(2) Minor diagnostic criteria for EDS arthrochalasis type include:

  • skin hyperextensibility
  • tissue fragility, including atrophic scars
  • easy bruising
  • muscular hypotonia
  • kyphoscoliois
  • mild osteopenia
