Skin abnormalities

  • collodion membranes or ichthyosiform erythroderma at birth
  • generalized lichenification
  • dark brown (LI-type) or fine white (NCIE-type) generalized scaling
  • erythroderma ranging from very mild to severe
  • sometimes diffuse palmoplantar keratoderma

Others

  • ectropion
  • often severe heat intolerance due to the reduced or absent ability to sweat
  • alopecia (in severe hyperkeratotic conditions of the scalp)
